Subject: Acquisition of Connector Business from Fujitsu Component Corporation
Dear our stakeholders,
We are pleased to announce that OTAX Co., Ltd. has entered into an agreement to acquire part of the connector business from Fujitsu Component Corporation (Head Office: Shinagawa-ward, Tokyo; President and CSO: Masahiro KINOSHITA) as of July 1, 2020.
Details:
1. Purpose of the Business Acquisition
OTAX Co., Ltd. has been supplying parts for over 40 years to various electrical equipment industries, such as control devices, air conditioning equipment, communication devices, and office equipment, through its switch and terminal block businesses. By acquiring this connector business, we aim to increase our sales and add connectors to our product lineup in the FA (Factory Automation) industry. This will enhance our ability to provide comprehensive product proposals alongside our existing switch and terminal block offerings.
2. Details of the Acquisition
We will acquire part of the production equipment, molding dies, pressing dies, and technical assets (including intellectual property rights) related to the connector business.
3. Connectors Subject to Acquisition
CN 360 Series, CN 370 Series
4. Scheduled Completion Date of the Transfer
The schedule is currently under discussion between both companies.
