OTAX is a certified company by ISO9001, which was first approved in August 1995.

OTAX Co., Ltd., through the manufacturing and sales of electronic components such as switches and connectors, as well as medical devices, aims to fulfill product requirements and customer expectations, ensuring business stability and contributing to society. This is achieved by all employees effectively utilizing the quality management system and engaging in continuous improvement activities.

Action Guidelines

(1) Enhancing Customer Satisfaction
– Emphasize the product realization process to reduce customer complaints.
– Aim to shorten production lead times to meet customer delivery schedules.
– Stay abreast of market trends and actively engage in the development of products that meet market and customer demands.
– Foster communication with customers and promptly respond to feedback, including product-related information.
(2) Clearly identify and comply with product-related requirements and legal regulations.
(3) Set quality objectives at each level and department, and regularly review their appropriateness.
(4) Evaluate the effectiveness of the quality management system through internal and external information and periodic reviews, striving for continuous improvement.
(5) Through education at each level and department, ensure that all employees understand and are well-informed about the quality policy, objectives, and goals, thus raising awareness and effectively operating the company’s quality management system.

Environmental Policies

OTAX is a certified company by ISO14001, which was first approved in November 2001.

OTAX recognizes that protecting the global environment and ensuring safety are critical issues for the local community. Through the development, manufacturing, and sales of electronic components such as switches and connectors, as well as medical devices, all employees are committed to continuously reducing environmental impact and preventing environmental pollution.

Action Guidelines

1. Identify the environmental impacts of the company’s business activities and strive for improvement and reduction.
Suppress the generation of waste and promote resource recycling to contribute to the establishment of a circular society.
Recognize the finite nature of resources and energy, and strive for sustainable resource utilization.
Identify substances that affect the global environment and human health, communicate them to internal and external stakeholders, and work to manage and reduce environmental impact substances.
In product development, aim for designs that consider environmental impacts and the depletion of resources and energy.
2. Clarify and comply with environmental regulations, agreed-upon requirements, and agreements related to the company’s business activities.
3. Consider climate change mitigation, biodiversity, and ecosystem protection in the company’s business activities.
4. Utilize the environmental management system to conduct regular reviews and aim for continuous improvement.
5. Raise environmental awareness among all employees by ensuring an understanding of the environmental policy and objectives, contributing to environmental conservation and reducing environmental impact through the company’s business activities.
6. This environmental policy will be communicated to all employees and disclosed both internally and externally.

The scope of application considers internal and external issues, the company’s environmental obligations, agreed-upon requirements, and agreements, and includes the following organizational units, functions, and physical boundaries. The organization’s activities, products, and services, as well as its authority and capabilities, are as follows:

Through regular environmental impact assessments, the organization will formulate environmental objectives and action plans based on social and regulatory conditions, strategic business plans, and environmental impact evaluations, and will promote continuous improvement activities aimed at reducing environmental impact.

Our engagement with RoHS Directive

The DIP switches, operational switches, connectors, and terminal blocks manufactured by OTAX Co., Ltd. comply with the following RoHS Directive for all product types:

[Directive 2011/65/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council on RoHS]
The products do not contain the specified ten hazardous substances (excluding exempted uses):
(Lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls, polybrominated diphenyl ethers, di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate, benzyl butyl phthalate, dibutyl phthalate, diisobutyl phthalate).
